So, as you've probably noticed, I haven't posted the latest Follow Me chapter. Here's why.
I printed out the typed chapter on Monday, September 29th, with the intention of proofing the heck out it. Tuesday, I'd make corrections and start on typing Chapter 41. Wednesday, I'd finish typing 41, print, and start proofing. Thursday, I'd finish proofing, make corrections. Friday, I planned to take off because Smash Bros came out, and over the weekend, I planned to do the cross-reference proofing between Chapters 40 and 41 to make sure it's all coherent, and hey, maybe start on Chapter 42 if I was feeling adventurous. All that activity would've lead to a Monday-Tuesday of last week release.
Tuesday morning, September 30th, I came down with a head cold from freaking Hades. I could barely sit up without feeling dizzy. I murdered probably a box and a half of tissue that day alone. I made mistakes all day (like moving the laundry from the washer to the dryer but not starting it). I was a complete and total cotton-headed mess. This went on for DAYS. DAYS, man. It was all I could do to stay conscious sometimes.
Why is it that the second I start making plans, I get freaking ill??? ""OTL
So yeah. Total immune system sabotage. Thankfully, I'm much better now, but unfortunately, I'm a little busy. This past week, I've been working on finishing up some crochet stuff for my daughter's Halloween costume, and this week I've got to make a hat for my nephew for Halloween, and then after that I should be able to work in peace. Assuming I don't get sick again. OTL *knocks on wood*
So yeah, I apologize for releasing the Chapter preview hype image and then totally disappearing for two weeks. Was not my intention at ALL.

Hey there, dA. My life has gotten better.
*opens door with a creak, brushes dust off of a chair, and takes a seat* Hey there. Am I still relevant to anyone? Long time no see. It's been over a year since I've posted a journal, so I think it's high time I talked about where I am, both in life and artistically.
If you're reading this, you probably started following me years ago and have seen my sparse postings in the past that my life hasn't been all that great the past few years. I'll try to do a brief recap and just a basic run-down of the past few years and how I've been.

This is the year my hiatus from writing, drawing, everything artistic really started. I had kind of
Getting better, but it's an uphill battle
Hey all. It's been quite a while since I posted anything, so I thought I would catch you up to speed on how things have been.
I had surgery to move my bastard gallbladder at the end of August last year. Unfortunately, things didn't get better after surgery at first, so we looked at pursuing more options. In September, I was scheduled to take a ph test, which is a horrid test where you have to wear a catheter in your throat through your nose for 24 hours to measure how often you reflux and how high it goes, etc. By this point and time, my mental health, which was already not great to begin with, was circling the drain. I was having daily
Health Update (Again)
This summer has not been a very good summer for me, if that wasn't already obvious, lol.
It took 3 weeks to clear out the oral and esophageal thrush (normally takes 2 weeks, but I got an extra week because it was still not gone at the end of 2). I had an endoscopy done on the 6th of July, which found I had gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining). My follow-up was scheduled for the 28th, so I got to wait after that. I was fully able to eat again, so that was a plus, but in between the scope and the follow-up, I started experiencing pain in my upper abdomen a couple hours after eating, as well as some pretty severe chest and back pai
Health Update
A lot has happened since the last time I posted. Let's recap.
The same day I posted the last journal, I went to the ER. They did some blood work/xrays, told me it was reflux and to follow up with the gastroenterologist, and sent me on my way. Needless to say, I was not satisfied with my care.
The 9 days that followed were agony. I learned that Ensure is gross. My throat kept getting worse and worse and hurting more an more. I had a bout of reflux that lasted for 5 hours one night, my throat and vocal chords on fire. The next day, my throat was raw and my voice was hoarse. I had to start sleeping in the recliner to keep myself uprigh

Geez, that sounds absolutely terrible ;A; I'm glad you're feeling better now though!
What are you crocheting for Clair and your nephew? I bet they'll look adorable in whatever you make
